Goodbye Greenhill, Hello Ireland

In the weekends that I wasn't traveling, me and the volunteers would go on our own adventures and have fun around the camp, or in nearby cities.
Rock climbing
Going on the Ropes Courses
Canoeing
Exploring ruins
Inch Abbey Ruins
Watching movies and making food
Hungarian Night! Eszter, Aron, and Luca made Hungarian food for us!
Eszter, Anna, and I made Blackberry pie after picking the berries earlier while doing some Archery!
Going hiking
Hiking Slieve Donard - the tallest peak in the Mournes!
Looking down on Newcastle!
The clouds were making everything look so pretty!
And made for neat pictures when the clouds blew across the peak in front of the sun!
Playing soccer
Camping in Hammocks
Taken during my time with Senior Camp - we go camping one night of the week with them!
Eating dinner - at the mess hall and at restaurants
Dinner in the mess hall was always exciting.... ;)
Harriet's Birthday Dinner at Percy French
And skyping with friends and surprising them at their wedding receptions ;)
Janice's Wedding - I got up at 3am to skype into the reception! :)

The kids I met were so great.  I absolutely loved working with them!  Some weeks I had challenging groups and the kids would not listen at all.  Mainly one group.  OMG I was ready to kill someone.  haha okay not really kill but I was so frustrated that week with my group!
Some groups were fantastic and listened superb!  Those are the groups that would bring candies for me and our group and were just all around fantastic!  They were the ones who would ask me if I would be here again next year because if so, they wanted me as their leader ♥ One little girl even said she wanted me for all the years left that she'd be coming to the camp!!  She was darling!

After we finished our last week at Greenhill, we had a dinner Friday night at the Harbor Bar.  I'm gonna miss these goofballs :)

I packed up my things that night and left Saturday morning.  I went with Anna to Dublin and explored the city with her before she had to catch her flight home.
Trinity College - Book of Kells & the Old Library! ♥
St. Patrick's Cathedral
Once she left me, I continued southward to Cashel to spend the night.
It wasn't dark yet, so I went to see Rock of Cashel and Hore Abbey!  Both really neat!  I LOVE castles and ruins.  I would love living in Europe just for that reason! haha
Rock of Cashel
Hore Abbey
While returning to town to find my hostel, I walked by a farm off the hill of Rock of Cashel and there was a shepherd herding his sheep into a truck with his sheep dog!  I stopped to watch for a time.  You don't see that often in America!
The next day I hiked the Heritage Tippery Way from Cashel all the way to Cahir!  Probably close to 17 miles or so.  I lost track.  All I know was that I was POOPED and my backpack was heavy.
But on my way I got to see some more ruins, enjoyed the nature around me (except when I had to walk by cows that would come closer to me...it just scared me...those cows were HUGE!  They could easily crush me.),
and explored Athassel Abbey!  Ya know...exploring ruins when you're all alone and it's cloudy out makes it kinda eerie.  I may or may not have psyched myself out while exploring... ha
Athassel Abbey
I made it to Cahir and explored the town.  It was Heritage Week for them so I got into Cahir Castle for free!
Cahir Castle
Inside the gates of Cahir Castle
The sword in the stone!!! ...stump?
And they had some live entertainment up the road that was quite fun to listen to before I caught my bus down to Cork.
Once in Cork I found my hostel and crashed for the night.
That next day I headed to Blarney where I explored Blarney Castle and the gardens!  SO BEAUTIFUL and SO COOL!!!
Blarney Castle
That view! ♥
The Fern Garden
The fairy garden pools
I went up to the top and kissed the Blarney Stone!  Hopefully I get good luck from it ;)
This castle was huge and I got to explore a good amount of it! Wahoo!
A manor located on the grounds of Blarney Castle
After spending most of the day here, I hopped on the bus back to Cork, and then back to Dublin where I went to another hostel for the night.
That next day I headed to DC! And that is where my Ireland adventure ends.
I can't believe it is over.  It went by so fast!  It was so fun!
After I help out with my grandma, if I'm still living the single life - I want to find a job that I can work outside (at a camp!) and work with kids!  Two things I enjoy a lot.  Combined?  Even better. :)  But we shall see where life takes me!  Stay tuned for more travel adventures...whenever they may happen :)
